London based Cedia Member DLUK,, are currently recruiting for an experienced AV Project Engineer. Main responsibilities of this role:
Reporting to the Project Manager, a Project Engineer is required to assist the companies site based works through to completion.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Installation of equipment in line with any projects requirements, i.e. Audio Visual, Lighting, Data / Telephony, CCTV, Door Entry & HVAC, including hardware & software
To test all infrastructure on site once first fix completion has been confirmed to the Project Manager
Report back any failures, missing items, damaged cables etc to both the Project Manager & Project Draftsman
Maintain a high standard of appearance at all times
Ensure that all tools (including IT & communications equipment) provided for the job is kept secure & in excellent working order at all times
To ensure company vehicles are kept in excellent working order in accordance with the manufacturers servicing requirements & in line with the Highway Code as a minimum
To ensure stock levels of company vehicles is kept to a level for which their daily works schedule can be attained at all times
To report daily via an emailed daily report to the relevant Line Manager / Project Manager, on the days progress. All reports should include all issues found on site, works completed & works still outstanding, anything currently hindering their ability to compete works within the given time frame & all associated costs incurred in relation to the days work
To assist the Project Manager in relation to time to install equipment at any stage of a project
Report to the Technical Manager, Systems Integrator & Project Manager with details on any technical issues incurred, general product issues or issues in relation to supplier support.
Ensure all client property is left in the condition it was found prior to any works taking place.
To represent the Company in a professional manner at all times (which includes driving any company vehicle)
To at least meet the individual performance targets set in accordance with companies plan for growth.
Skills and competencies required in this role:
To be in possession of a Full Clean UK Driving License
To have a general understanding of UK NICEIC Electrical standards
Ability to read system schematics, wiring diagrams, plan & elevation drawings
A minimum of two years installation & engineering experience within any of the following industries; Audio Visual (Domestic), Data / Telephone, Lighting Control (Lutron), System Control (Crestron), HVAC, CCTV / Door Entry & Security.
Qualified with at least 60% the following standards as a minimum:
Lutron introduction to Homeworks
Lutron Homeworks Installation & Programming Qualification
Crestron Residential Design
Philips Pronto Level 1
Kaleidescape Technical Boot Camp
Qualified to Cedia EST2 standard

Level of authority:
N/A all communications are directed to their Line Manager or above
Other important things to note:
Although most work will occur within Central London during the working week, it must be noted that the company has some clients across Europe & therefore some weekend work & travel may be required. The company will endeavour to give as much notice as is possible should this arise.
