A Fantastic Special Needs School In Lambeth Is Recruiting For An Art Teacher To Start ASAP Until The End Of The Academic Year And Possibly Beyond For The Right Candidate.

The Role Requires A Knowledgeable Teacher To Work With Autistic Students In Key Stage 3 And 4. Many Of The Students Are Non Verbal So Experience Of Picture Exchange Communication (PECs) And Makaton Especially Would Be Advantageous. Students Are Currently Working At Varied Abilities; Therefore You Need To Be Able To Plan Engaging Lessons To A Number Of Different Skill Sets. You Will Be Supported By 2 Teaching Assistants. Positive Handling Training Such As Team Teach Would Be An Advantage As Some Students Can Sometimes Present Challenging Behaviour.

Previous Experience Working With Autism (ASD) Is Ideal, For The Right Candidate The School Are Offering Desirable Rates Of Pay.
