Luto Research Ltd (Leeds University Testing Organisation) is a company which tests medicine information leaflets and packaging on behalf of pharmaceutical companies, to ensure that the information is easy for people to understand.

We are currently looking for insulin dependent diabetics, who are between 50 and 60 years of age and who can read English to take part in a study. Participants will be required to come into our offices, based near the University of Leeds, on two consecutive days during the week commencing Monday 16th July. The first visit requires participants to take part in a training session with a nurse. They will use a training guide to go through how to use an injector pen. The second visit will involve participants demonstrating how to use the injector pen. An instructions leaflet will be available to refer to as this is not a test of your memory. Each of the sessions will last approximately 45 minutes and participants will be paid £50 cash at the end of their second visit. Doing this helps us to produce a leaflet that medicine users can read to enable them to make safe and accurate decisions about their medicines.

Please note that we only require specific people to take part in this project. Volunteers must be available to come into our offices on two consecutive days during the week commencing Monday 16th July 2012. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested.
