After School Nanny live out needed 2 or 4 days pw for girl (8) and boy (4) in Hampstead NW3
London

Sorry, this ad is no longer available.

We are looking for a responsible, friendly nanny to pick up our children from school and look after them, help with their homework, until we return from work.

We are a French family and live in Hampstead (NW3). We are looking for someone to work
- either 4 afternoons/evenings a week, from Monday to Thursday,
- or 2 afternoons/evenings a week, Monday and Wednesday,
to collect our daughter (7 and 1/2 yrs old) and son (4 yrs old) from school - our son is starting at his sister's school near Belsize Park in September - and take them to after school activities or bring them home (about 20 minutes walk).

They are well-behaved children who get on well and play nicely together (most of the time!). They both are affectionate, lively and curious.

You will need to be an English speaker with the confidence and ability to really get involved in homework with a nearly 8-year-old girl as well as hearing them both read and learn spellings etc.

Your role will also include bathing the children and getting them ready for the night, helping to keep the areas where they live clean & tidy, cooking healthy meals for them, helping with some washing/ironing of children clothes, etc.

Hours: 3.30pm to 6.30-7.15ish (with some flexibility in the evenings)
Usually 4 days pw (Monday to Thursday) OR 2 days pw (Monday + Wednesday), but possibly some Fridays (not absolutely essential)
Full days in school holidays
Additional occasional evening baby sitting might be required (not absolutely essential)

You must:
- be reliable and punctual,
- have significant experience working with children,
- be dynamic and careful/thorough,
- have an excellent level of verbal/written English, to engage fully with the homework,
- be kind but have the ability to be firm when necessary,
- be a non smoker,
- have 2 checkable references with telephone numbers,
- have either a working visa for the U.K. or an E.U. passport,
- be CRB checked,
- be happy and loving, and keen to help our children grow up and develop!

This would suit someone who works at a school or nursery that finishes early, or a student with childcare experience.

Start date: as soon as possible

If interested, please respond with full CV detailing your education/training, your previous experience with children (ages, your role, for how long etc.) and specifying which languages you can speak (and for each what is your level), and provide reference details as well as whether you would be available for full days during school holidays.
Due to the number of applications, we will unfortunately only be able to respond to applicants short listed for interviews. Please do not reply unless you fit all the criteria above. Many thanks. We look forward to reading from you.
