An exciting opportunity to make a first step into a global boutique Investment Bank. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years accounting experience, be a conscientious worker and able to take the initiative to further the Finance department's objectives.

The role will be an excellent opportunity for you to use your current skill set to its potential.

Finance Tasks - Core Responsibilities:

Day to day bookkeeping
Authorisation/payment of invoices/expense claims
Accounts payable/receivable queries
Raising monthly sales invoices and update of sales ledger
Analysis of debtors (report to Financial Controller and chase where necessary)
Bank reconciliations
Petty cash (reconciliation to be checked and signed off by Financial Controller)
Weekly cash flow analysis
Company banking
Management of Finance Department filing and archiving

Finance Tasks - Assistance to the Chief Financial Officer:

Monthly accruals and prepayments preparation
Assistance with monthly management accounts preparation
Assistance with interim and year end accounts/audit file preparation (P&L review and basic balance sheet reconciliation as required)
Assisting the Chief Financial Officer with the preparation of various reports/background schedules as directed (e.g. for the Company’s Monthly FSA, SEC and Focus reports and quarterly VAT returns)
Assistance with statutory accounts preparation and review
Assistance with analytical review of quarterly income and expenses against budget and reporting back any anomalies/variances or re-budgeting required
Any other ad-hoc assistance as directed by the Chief Financial Officer
Office Administration
Experience in preparation of the financial statement and producing an audit file.
Maintenance of Fixed Asset register

Management of office procurement contracts
Management of staff holiday file
Assistance with any other ad-hoc issues that may arise as and when required (e.g. building management)

Candidate Criteria:

Minimum foundation level AAT qualified/part-qualified ACCA (or equivilant) or qualified by experience
Bookkeeping experience background (in a support role)
Experience and good working knowledge of Excel

Salary: GBP20,000 - GBP26,000 (depending on relevant experience)
