We have a position available for a second chef. Approximately 30hrs per week (inc weekends) £7-7.50 per hour, with more hours available on occasion.
We are a small local pub providing a daily changing menu which would require a person who is eager to learn and experiment with food. They need to be reliable, responsible & able to manage their own time effectively. They will be responsible for prep, service, menu creation, health and hygiene, cleaning, interacting with customers and running the kitchen when the head chef is away.
Ideally they would have previous experience working in kitchens with the ability to work both with others and on their own.
Fluent in English.
Up to date food hygiene certificate.
A good knowledge of contemporary British food, pub classics and an understanding of other European and world cuisines would be a benefit benefit. Most importantly they need to be passionate about food.
