The Sigma Aspherical has a very quick f/2.8 shutter speed that allows for low light conditions. The Sigma 28 - 70 mm has an advanced Helical lens focus rotation that allows for the Perfect Hood to be placed on the front of the lens since that portion does not rotate during focusing, ensuring that the Sigma 28 - 70 mm Aspherical lens always has protection from direct light and flares that can interfere with shooting.
