HP Pavilion T3000 Desktop Tower PC

NOTE: Gumtree lists my location incorrectly. I am in Farnborough, HAMPSHIRE.

This is a listing for a desktop PC tower, with the following specifications:

AMD Sempron 2400+ 1.66GHz Processor
Windows XP Home OEM license (Service Pack 3)
512MB DDR-SDRAM (480MB Reported by Windows, 32MB used by on-board video adapter)
K7S41GX Socket A motherboard (SiS 741 chipset)
1x Maxtor 80GB IDE Hard Disk
1x Asus IDE DVD-ROM drive
SiS 330 on-board video adapter (VGA D-Sub output)
SiS900 On-Board Ethernet LAN adapter (LAN port on rear)
1x PS/2 mouse port, 1x PS/2 keyboard port, both on rear
1x serial port and 1x parallel printer port on rear
4x USB 2 ports on rear, 1x USB on front
Multi card reader on front: SmartMedia / xD, MMC / SD, Compact Flash I/II, Memory Stick Pro
On-board audio: 3x audio jacks on rear, 3x jacks on front (mic, line in, line / headphone out)
MIDI / Joystick Game port on rear

Note: there are concealed firewire and USB ports on the front that are NOT functional.

The motherboard has 1x AGP slot, and 2 PCI slots. None are occupied. There is an extra RAM slot free.
Note: the floppy drive has not been tested.

This is a refurbished system with Windows XP Home and all necessary drivers installed and ready to go, with a clutch of freeware software including Mozilla Firefox, Libre Office and more.

This is a socket A single core PC. It is more than capable of most Internet activities (e.g. shopping, browsing, banking, light video and flash), and productivity tasks such as photo organisation and office work. It is not suitable for modern 3D games, and is not upgradeable to a point where it will play them well.

Apart from slight "shelf wear" and the odd small scratch, the PC is in very good condition.

A recovery CD will be included with this PC.

Data protection notice: The hard disk drive passed through a low level format and an encrypted fill before OS installation to ensure all previous data was erased.

PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT SELL A SERVICE. This PC is being sold to you on the proviso that it is a refurbished unit with no guarantees. However, if this PC fails for you within 30 days of purchase, please contact me so that we can arrange a diagnostic. If there is any sign of internal tampering, damage or otherwise user-caused problems, I will NOT refund. If there is genuinely a fault with the PC, I will refund.

The size and particularly the weight of the tower prohibits postage. I would guess that postage for this, particularly tracked, would be the best part of £20 or more. I would PREFER local pick-up for this reason.
