Vintage 1964 Gretsch 6122 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Serial number 80762. Forever associated with George Harrison, this model has also been used extensively by many other artists including Elvis Presley, Edge, Joe Walsh and John Squire.

All the guitar parts are original, except for replacement pads on the working double mutes. The body has been re-bound by a top Denmark Street luthier. Condition is good, with all parts working as they should. The neck action is smooth and low. Comfortable neck - plays well with classic Gretsch tones. This guitar sounds great plugged and unplugged. Both original pickups sound excellent. However, all original gold plating on hardware, including the gold-plated V-cutout B-6 Bigsby ("Gretsch by Bigsby") vibrato tailpiece, is quite worn. The back pad is worn but original (all snaps are tight), as is the plastic back plate, with all screws, on the body. The electronics inside the guitar are original and untouched. This guitar has been well-played. Frets are good but there is some fingerboard and back of neck wear. There is an old repaired headstock crack which is stable.
