I have for sale a really special one-off guitar.
Never before has such a rare guitar come onto the market.
This beauty is the creation from one of our own local luthiers
Robin Thompson.
Robin started his professional career working for Lowden guitars and stayed local remaining in the newly named Avalon factory where his skills were cherished until the close of the factory this year.
Now we all know how good and sought after the guitars from these factories are, so lets take it up a notch or two.
Occasionally the staff in the above factories were rewarded for their dedication and were allowed to build any guitar of their choice.
So for twenty years dedication robin decided to build himself the masterpiece of a guitar which you see before you now.
It is based on a Fender Telecaster using the best of the best Fender Telecaster hardware and a custom Fender neck.
The body of the guitar has been made with three of the most exotic tone woods that are normally reserved for high end classical guitars.
Surfaced in highly figured Tasmanian black-wood
sandwhiched with Engelmann spruce
based with Honduran mahogany
The sound and action of this guitar is second to none that I've played
and the beauty of the woods have been brought to their full potential by the craftsmanship of what must be one off if not the best luthiers we have.
This is the combination of what dream guitars are made off - Fender Lowden and Avolon all in one masterpiece of a guitar.
This guitar has been acquired from a prestigious collector from his private stock and as such comes in impeccable condition.
