Highly desirable handbuilt Black forest Chalet style Cuckoo clock with lots of traditional features that are associated with this type clock, The Chimes and Cuckoo call's on the hour and every half hour. It play's 2 different tunes Eidlweiss and the Woodchopper march, It has a woodsman sawing a log as the Cuckoo call's and as the melody plays 4 little figures rotate at the top, a water wheel turns and a sawmill works also.The clock is wound by the use of 3 weights and chains underneath and it needs winding once every 24 hour's thus making it a "1 Day" clock. It also has a manual night time silence lever so as not to disturb anyones sleep.
We have owned the Clock from New, purchased just over 10 years ago for £280.00, It will make a stunning antique in the years to come.The clock is in excellent condition but the pendulum needs re-setting as it is out of beat this is a very simple job to do but really needs to be done by an expert. The clock is now worth £425.00 but due to the pendulum issue we are asking £355.00 or very near offer.This clock would be ideal for somebody who is an enthusiast.This clock would need to be collected by the buyer as I would not want it to be damaged in transit.
