I need a flatmate as soon as possible to take a room in a two-bedroom flat on West Port, next to the Grassmarket in Edinburgh.

I am a 20-year-old male student, studying Japanese at Edinburgh University, and ideally I'd like to share with another student. I'm looking for a non-smoker who is clean, fairly quiet, friendly, and willing to share the facilities in the flat. Somebody who plans on staying until September would be best, but I will listen to anyone who is interested.

The room you would be staying in contains two single beds, a bedside chest-of-drawers with a lamp, and a small wardrobe. There is a lot of bedding already here, including sheets, pillows and quilts, but you are of course welcome to use your own.

This is a modern flat, with shared kitchen, living room and bathroom facilities with bath and electric shower. In the kitchen there is a combination washing machine/dryer and an electric cooker. There is a large television in the living room with a Virgin Media cable service and DVD player. The cable is included in the rent, and so is the wireless internet connection.

The flat is in a convenient situation for the city centre and Edinburgh University, and has a view of the Castle. Nearby there is a Sainsbury's and a number of pubs and restaurants.

The total rent (including cable and internet) is £750 a month, which we would share. This excludes the electric bill and TV licence.

As there is a lot of shared space, I would like to meet anyone who is interested before we reach a decision.
