Hi there,
Quick intro: My name is Gary Rosewell, I'm 27 and currently live and work in Oxford for a Formula 1 Team, I bought 60 The Refinery, Bristol in 2008 as an investment....but quickly fell in love with the place. I've lived and studied in Bristol for a number of years and still consider the place my 'baby' BUT, as I'm away from the city now it's only fair to the place that I rent my room out.
The room upstairs is rented out to a 25 year old guy (Bosh) who runs VIP Bristol - a student events management company. He's a very well organised person who's clean, tidy, relaxed and a laugh.
The Property
3.5 year old development consisting of 62 flats converted from a sugar mill. Number 60 is a hi-spec two bedroom penthouse apartment with skyline views of Bristol from Old Market all the way up to the Wills Memorial Building. Old Market is one of the oldest districts of Bristol and is fast developing into a trendy, cosmopolitan area to live. The Refinery epitomises that, with great transport links (buses and access to Temple Meads station) and short walks to Cabot Circus and the centre.
Both bedrooms are en-suite. Your bedroom has a private veranda (max capacity x6 people). The apartment also has its own veranda (max capacity x12 people) fantastic for Summer parties! There is a lounge / kitchen which looks out onto the main veranda.
Other facilities include built in cupboards, washing machine / dryer, bespoke hi-spec kitchen with dishwasher, communal elevator, communal recycling stores and communal bike stores. The room will be rented on a furnished basis with bed, mattress and glass topped desk.
The details
Monthly rental is £550 + bills. On average you are looking at around £100 / month. BT high-speed broad-band Internet is included. My current tenant has the parking space but there is parking around the back outside of working ours and an NCP car-park is a 5 minute walk away. Alternatively you may wish to have discussions with the developer RE renting an underground space next door.
I'm looking for a young professional guy or girl to move in and treat the place like their own, really making the most out of the property and the area. A flat-share is only complete however if you get along with your house-mate. That said, I need someone who's open-minded, friendly, out-going and fun and I'll be introducing you to Bosh as part of the tenant finding process.
Timelines
I'm coming back to Bristol today (27/04) and am carrying out viewings across the whole weekend with a view to moving someone in on Monday April 30th. Deposit will be 1.5 months rent (£775) and will be logged with the DPS as part of your Assured Short-hold Tenancy Agreement (AST). The contract will be for an initial 6 month period. A bank reference, professional and personal reference will be needed prior to you moving in.
Hope that's all clear. Really looking forward to moving someone in.
Kind regards,
Gary
