A brand new event from BHF Scotland: Loch Ness Duathlon. This running and cycling duathlon is located in one of Scotland's most iconic sites - Loch Ness. A true challenge for an individual or a team, which is guaranteed to satisfy the adventurous types.
Two great route options:
1. Running 7.5km on forest trails and the mountain biking on the north side of Loch Ness 60km with 1700m of climb
2. Running 7.5km on forest trails and then road cycling 56km with 1050m of climb on the south side of Loch Ness followed by a 5km run.

Both options 7.5km run on forest trails total ascent/descent 276m some steep climbing and descending with some narrow rough tracks
Mountain Bike option 60km with 1,700m of ascent on Great Glen Way on the north side of Loch Ness mostly good fire roads and tracks some steep climbs
Route passes through Invermoriston and Drumnadrochit Fantastic trails with great views of Loch Ness
Road Bike option 56km with 1,050m of ascent on quiet roads on the south side of Loch Ness some steep climbs
Route passes through the villages of Foyers, Inverfarigaig and Dores
Final 5km run mainly on tarmac
