The South Side Community Centre opened in 1986 after a long campaign by the local community to have a community Centre right in the heart of their area. The Centre encourages community involvement, offers a variety of recreational and educational activities for all ages.

The Centre also runs a community café which was set up by well meaning members of the local community to provide good food at a reasonable price. It continues to do so today with the same purpose and determination as it did all these years ago. The Café is open six days a week 9.45am - 2.30pm (Monday – Friday) and 11am – 2.00pm on a Saturday

Monday, 18 June - Orchestra concert 2.30pm
Tuesday, 19 June - Yoga 10am–12 noon
Tuesday, 19 June - Gentle Exercise for over 50’s 2pm–3pm
Friday, 22 June - Yoga 10am – 11.30am
Friday, 22 June - Creative Writing 10am – 12 noon

Photographic exhibition by South Side Heritage Group and a film relating to the entertainment in the South Side. The Southside Association is displaying a small exhibition and notes from the association’s history.
