Merton rugby club are looking for players of all standards to come down and join them!
The main training session is on WEDNESDAY evenings, starting at 7.30pm, at Morden Recreation Ground, SM4 6RE, which is based close to Morden underground station, St Helier overground, and many bus routes.
We run at least three teams each week during the season and all are playing in competitive Leagues, with the 3rd XV being geared towards players coming back to the game or new to Club rugby.
The 1st XV have established themselves in the Surrey Leagues and are looking to make the step up to the next level; the 2nd and 3rd XVs are also looking to go higher whilst still enjoying their rugby, therefore, we cater for both serious and social players.
Merton is a friendly, ambitious and cosmopolitan Club with social events throughout the season, our main sponsors being Ganleys Irish Bar, of Morden, and Stonebridge Corporate. We also Tour each year, the past four years having been to Bristol, Leeds, Edinburgh and Cardiff with over 50 playing and non-playing Club members each time! We also had a squad at the Bournemouth 7s, and a team of current and former players raised £5k for charity by doing the 3 Peaks Challenge!
