Hello there! My name is Melanie. I am an experienced, kind and responsible 22-year-old child-carer. I have over four years' experience as an au pair/nanny. I have looked after children from 0 to 16 years old.

I am reliable and well-organised, with a calm, patient personality, but I also understand the importance of having fun within a stimulating, child-focused environment! Creativity is one of the things that makes my job a joy. I am flexible and dedicated, and will happily alter my routine to fit around that of the family's. I am easy to get on with and enjoy getting to know new people.

I like cooking healthy, well-balanced and tasty meals, and will happily get on with all kinds of housekeeping, including cleaning, laundry and ironing! I am currently learning to drive and hope to gain my full licence in the spring. I hold a current CRB check and Ofsted-recognised paediatric first aid certificate. I speak fluent French and Italian.

My current responsibilities include mornings, school run, housework during the day, afternoon care including picking up from school, arranging friends' visits, help with homework, taking the children to after school classes and appointments, preparing dinner, and some babysitting and overnight care when required.

The mother of the lovely family I currently work for is changing her work schedule, so I am looking for another live-in au pair or nanny post in Brighton. I am happy to discuss hours and salary. (Just to give you an idea, I currently work 25 hours per week for £80pw plus room and board. However, I am happy to take on additional hours depending on a family's requirements.)

I am available to start one month from now (I would like to give four weeks' notice to my current family). References (including from current family) and CV are available upon request.
