The course can be covered in 5 days or 1 month or 1 year and is entirely flexible to you. If you are working full time or run a busy business you can spend time with our online LMS Moodle system as used by most schools, colleges and universities in the UK and interact with your allocated tutor in the time that suits you. 24/7 access to our online resources.
No travel is required to participate on the course, no attendance is also required. The course comes with free online learning resources and all the information to study in the comfort of your own home, or anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. We utilise the latest in communication technology e.g.: Skype and our state of the art virtual classrooms on our Moodle LMS that gives you a real connection to your tutor and negates the costs and hassle of travelling to venues.
All requirements to complete the course are covered and all students should pass the course further to a successful micro teaching session and workshop that they have to produce evidence of in the form of a video recording.
These are the components to the course:
1. Micro teaching practise (at least 15 minutes)
2. Interaction with our Moodle Interactive Managed Learning Environment & Tutor. Assignments - x3 theory based.
Theory completed online with your allocated tutor, this course requires an Internet connection and a PC at home or work. Course access 24/7. (If you do not have a good PC or a fast Internet connection then we would advise that you do not consider this route to training). You also have to be familiar with a menu driven website such as Facebook to participate on this course.
Entry to the course is via an application form, initial assessment and a possible telephone interview with the Course Tutor. The application form and initial assessment can be completed via email and a tutor will contact you further to the initial screening process.
Once we have received the full payment for the course (unless you are participating in our deposit scheme) and have completed all the necessary initial assessment we can register you with NCFE: our awarding body and you can commence your studies. You will receive your login details for our online Moodle LMS via email/sms and its as simple as that. We will require a photocopy ID from your passport or driving licence to confirm your identity prior to registering you on the course.
Progression: For those working in the teaching sector once you have passed your PTLLS with us you can progress to the CTLLS or DTLLS. The CTLLS can be achieved online in 3 - 5 Months and the DTLLS can be achieved over 1 year working with us and again online and over distance via our Moodle LMS - (Interactive Managed Learning Environment)..
