I am teaching a beginners' Yoga class in Weavers' Fields this Saturday at 6pm and this Sunday at 12am. (Please e-mail me to confirm)
You should bring a yoga mat, or beach towel (the grass is soft). Classes are an hour in length -allow for 15minutes before the start of each class to sign in. We will meet at an allocated meeting point.
No experience is necessary. I teach a basic Vinyasa with variations (a flowing sequence of poses) in my beginner class, stopping briefly to focus on each pose. Each class starts with a very brief meditation (as is the norm) to focus on our breath and set out intentions for the class. Each class finishes with Shavasana (a restorative pose lying on the back). As part of the sequence we will do a twist, a standing posture, a seated posture, a beginners' balance, inversion and back bend.
Students can rest in extended child's pose whenever they need to take a break during the class.
