MOTHER AND CHILD ART CLASS IN EDINBURGH

I am considering setting up a mother and child art class in Edinburgh - possibly in the Polwarth/Morningside area. I'd like to hear from some mothers of younger children if they think this is a good idea, and how it might work! I am an art tutor with a BA (Hons) in Drawing & Painting from Edinburgh College of Art, and previously used to run evening classes.

The classes I propose would be in the mornings, maybe for an hour and a half (two hours?) and parents (Dad's too!) would be welcome to bring their pre-schoolers. It would be a beginners art class for the parents covering some basic drawing and painting techniques. The older children could doodle, but the tuition is for the adults! I thought it would be a nice, supportive environment where parents would know they could learn something new, and nobody would give them a hard time about noise.

Please note it wouldn't be a creche - so all mums would be responsible for their own child!

Please let me know -

Is 2 hours too long with babies in tow?
How much would you be willing to pay for maybe an 8 week course?
Also, any recommendations for venues, as my usual place has closed down.
