KettleBell Workouts
Kettlebells have been used successfully throughout the world for hundreds of years, originating in Russia where they were used to develop strength and conditioning in their soldiers. In more recent times, Kettlebells have been realised as the single most effective tool for developing strength and endurance as well as functional-based training. In order to benefit fully from this dynamic training it is vital to master a good technique. Our classes will provide you with a solid foundation in order to perform the core Kettlebell exercises without injury and with total confidence.
Our Kettlebell classes are ideal for all fitness enthusiasts, those who want to improve their current technique, or those who wish to learn Kettlebells from the beginning. There is something for everyone at FirthFitness.

The Benefits
Exercises performed with Kettlebells focus on gaining functional strength. This means it complements movements made in daily life as well as during sporting activities.
Muscles learn to work together as lifting and controlling a Kettlebell (due to its unique shape) provides whole-body conditioning and toning.
Kettlebell Workouts will challenge and recruit core strength, correcting muscle imbalances, poor flexibility, back pain and many more common “ailments” caused by inactivity, poor posture or muscle weakness which otherwise restrict exercise.
Compound movements are the corner stone of any great training workout, using many muscle groups at the one time. Not only is this good from a functional point of view, but also from a calorie-burning point of view. Fat will fade away as you stand to burn up to 1000 calories per hour and maintain an increased metabolism for many hours after you have finished training.

Insanity X
Insanity X is a mix of bodyweight exercises, plometrics, cardio and core. The big appeal is that no equipment is needed.
It teaches people how to use their own bodyweight as a resistance tool to develop strength, co ordination, balance, explosive power and increase their fitness levels. Very few training programs can promise to deliver so much.
Shaun T, an American based personal trainer initially devised the insanity programme. He has developed a great class with a broad range of exercises. Using Shaun’s expertise and my own knowledge I decided to adapt the programme slightly to create a class Belfast has never seen before. Insanity X was born, a perfect blend of functional exercises rolled into a 45 min group class, that will be beneficial to any gym member, no matter their ability, goals or aspirations.
