Creative writing classes start in July 2012. The course will run consecutive Thursdays for 8 weeks. This taster course will provide an opportunity to experiment with different types of writing, from short stories, poetry and flash fiction to writing for TV and novel writing. 8 week course costs £120, concessions £110.
The teacher, Louise Stevenson won a place on a MA creative writing course last year and was awarded with an Edward James bursary and studied under Greg Mosse (published author and husband and editor of Kate Mosse). Louise previously completed her first novel in a year and is currently working on a second novel which is due to be finished in September to complete the MA. Louise is a published reviewer for the Latest Homes and Broadway baby.
Louise performed her first stand up comedy gig in 1999 and has been performing and writing comedy since. As a comedian she was involved in the Edinburgh Festival and featured in a show called ‘Scotland’s best and guests.’ Runner up to Russell Brand in Channel 4’s ‘So you think you’re funny’ competition, Louise has set up her own company called Brighton Comedy Course where students learn performance and delivery techniques and how to write and deliver material.
