Bass player/Bassist wanted for Exciting Musical Project...
London

Alms are looking for a creative, intuitive and technical London-based bassist in their 20s. We want someone who appreciates our musical identity but can bring their own personality to the songs. Additionally a voice to sing backing vocals is a bonus but not a necessity.

Alms are a rock band mixing folk textures with a gritty electric guitar sound. We formed in Bristol and enjoyed early success, catching the ear of BBC Introducing, featuring on many blogs and attracting management. We’ve now moved to London and are in the process of recording new songs and developing our non-musical activities with a graphic designer, web developer and video director, with a view to launching the band in the Summer. We have free studio time with a professional producer and good links to the industry.

We need a committed bassist to help take the band to a new level, and someone who has the time and resource to rehearse and gig frequently. In short, we’re looking for a fully-fledged band member.

Please email with a cover note detailing your age, location, experience, influences and contact details.

We will reply with some demo mp3s for you to get comfortable with prior to the audition. We’re happy to answer any questions you have.

Auditions will be on Sunday 29th January and Sunday 5th February at the Richard Hoggart Building in Goldsmiths University, New Cross.

Holler back,

Alms
