Spares or repair project
I bought this bike with intentions of turning it into a streetfighter but dont have the time now and will be moving house so dont know if i will have the space for it.
These bikes are fast becoming collectable classics.
When i bought it the previous owner said it had been stood for a year and was a non runner he had tried to get it started but couldnt,
I replaced the plugs, added fresh petrol,new oil, and put the plug leads on the right way,then found one of the carb diaphragms was split, so i bought a set of refurbished carbs from a gpx (included in sale) and she fired up first time.
sounded really smooth no knocks or bangs.
She has a 3 section 4 into 1 exhaust fitted with a Micron can although it is blowing slightly has rusted on the end of the single pipe, it is separate so an easy fix.
As far as i can see the bike is complete, side panels not pictured but are there.
I did start stripping the bike to clean up various parts but have rebuilt it for transporting away.
I purchased another rear shock (included in sale) as the one fitted looks grubby.
Now the bad points,
I have no V5 previous owner had lost it, but engine and frame numbers match and number plate is present so v5 can be applied for.
The bleed nipples have snapped off in the front brake calipers.
Thats all i have come accross so far, it will make someone a nice project or just use as spares.
Shame to see it go but needs must.
