Vauxhall AstraSXI mk4. 51 plate with just over 104000 miles on the clock. 1.6 Petrol manual 5 speed gearbox and blue in colour. Recent mot expiry date July 15th 2013. Taxed until end of August (this month). The car is equipped with aircon, single cd head unit and Front electric windows. 5 spoke 16" Vauxhall alloys, excellent tyres on the rear, fronts have some tread left. Genuine Irmscher rear silencer and front honeycomb style grille, slightly tinted rear lights and smoked headlights. I have the mots dating back to 2007 when I acquired the car. Loads of receipts available as all repair work has been carried out by a local garage. I am reasonably mechanically minded so carry out all the simple servicing jobs. The car has recently (June and July) had a centre pipe, rear springs, rear brakes stripped and cleaned and full front to rear brake pipes. Oil and filters were last changed in may along with the front brake pads. In February the coil pack was replaced along with all 4 spark plugs. (apparently this is a common problem on this engine).
With the car getting on for 11 years old the bodywork admittedly isn't in the best of shape but still looks reasonably tidy. there is a nasty scratch on the rear nearside wheel arch which runs into the rear door also and a few parking dings.
Unfortunately the car was recorded as a category D write off in late 2004. I'm not aware of the nature of the claim but the eagle eyed would know it has had a respray in the past. This and the other scratches on the car have been taken into account when offering the car for sale. I am open to sensible offers.
