This T5 Has Had A Top-of-the Range No-expense-spared Conversion. It’s Not All Bling With Sidebars And 19” Alloys, But They Can Easily Be Added. Having Said That, It’s Still A Head Turner! Instead We Concentrated On Really Good Functional Design, Good Quality Materials (vohringer Boards, A Crash Tested Seat And Leather Upholstery) And We Believe It Makes For A Really Brilliant Camper.

We Bought The Van In March 2011 And Had It Converted By South West Campers For Our Own Use. However, Personal Circumstances Force A Very Reluctant Sale. We Are Emigrating To Australia And SERIOUSLY Considered Shipping It! We Are Perfectionists And Opted For A High-end Conversion Believing That We’d Own It Forever.
The Furniture Was Custom Made In The Workshop To Properly Fit The Vehicle, Which Means That The Cupboards Fit Perfectly With No Gaps Anywhere!
The Engine
2.5 TDI Diesel With 6-speed Gearbox. This Camper Really Shifts. Full Electric Pack (windows And Mirrors).

The Vehicle Was Originally Registered In Ireland, So The Odometer Is In Kilometres, Converted To Miles It’s Just Clocked Over 100,000 Miles, But This Really Isn’t Much For A 2.5 TDI. Call VW If You Have Any Doubts.

FULL LEATHER RIB CRASH TESTED SEAT Which Opens Out To A 6’4” Rock And Roll Bed Flocked With Thermarest So It’s REALLY Comfortable To Sleep On (the Seat Alone Cost £3,500). A Standard Rock ‘n Roll Bed Is Fine For Sleeping And Dining, But You Really Need A Crash Tested Seat For Friends And Family To Travel In.

It’s 4 Berth, With A UK Pop-top Roof Including Roof Bed And Mattress. We Also Had A Reimo Safety Net Installed, Which Is Great If You Have Kids, Or If You Just Want To Make Sure That Your Pillows Don’t Fall Down Into The Cab! There Is Also A Reading Light For Those Sleeping Upstairs.

Full Leather Seating In The Cab. We Kept The Bench In The Front So That 5 People Can Travel In The Camper, But South West Campers Added A Folding Mechanism To That You Can Open Up The Space In The Same Was As A Single Swivel Seat For Dining And Socialising. It Also Makes A Really Good Platform For Climbing Into The Roof Bed. We’ve Found It Great Being Able To Travel 5 As We Can Take Parents Or Friends Out As Well As Our Son.

The Van Is Fully Insulated With Sheep Wool And Lined In Dark Grey, Which Gives The Van Really Classy Finish And Blends Well With The Grey And Black Leather Seats.

Professionally Made Curtains In A Retro Style Flower Print With Colours That Suit The Classy Finish This Camper Has Been Given.

The Exterior
Newly Re-sprayed Rear Boot (there Was A Spoiler On The Roof That Needed Removing In Order To Fit A Bike Rack. When This Was Removed It Damaged The Paintwork That It Was Stuck To So We Opted For A Full Re-spray On The Tailgate, It Looks Brilliant Now!)

Reimo “drive-away” Awning Rail, Tow Bar, 4 New Tyres Last Summer, Privacy Glass, VW 16” Alloys (we Believe These Are The Only Things In Need Of Attention, A Refurbishment Should Cost Around £30 Per Alloy).
