Level 2 - Physical Intervention Training.

With the recent announcement from the Security Industry Authority that Physical Intervention training is to become mandatory for all those working as Door Supervisors, we have already started to deliver the Level 2 Physical Intervention Unit to meet the demands of those that completed the old programme and are now wishing to re-licence.

The programme is delivered by highly effective practitioners in Physical Intervention, the lead trainer and director being current and previous Officer Safety Police Trainers, delivering PI, Cuff, CS, Taser, and Conflict Management to Police Staff.

They will guide and steer you through the pitfalls of use of Physical Intervention, court liability and litigation as well as the required programme which is:

1. Understand physical interventions and the legal and professional implications of their use

2. Understand how to reduce the risk of harm when physical intervention skills are used

3. Be able to use non-pain related physical skills to protect yourself and others from assault

4. Be able to use non-pain related standing holding and escorting techniques, including non restrictive and restrictive skills

5. Understand good practice to follow after physical interventions

The examination is both multiple choice and practical, learners must demonstate to the trainer that they are competent and effective at using the techniques taught.

As an added bonus on our programme, there is also an added introduction to Fast Wrap' which are a Velcro belt system ('Mechanical Restraint') used by Police Officers and private security alike.
