Hello!

I'm Tom, I'm 27 And Have A BSc Mathematics From King's College London And Gained A Distinction In MSc Financial Mathematics From Birkbeck College London. I Have Been Working In Finance For Around 5 Years Now, Most Recently As A Performance And Quantitative Analyst. I Have Also Been Tutoring On And Off Over The Five Years With A Good Success Rate. I Currently Tutor One Maths, Two Economics (A-Level) And A Few Finance Students. Mathematics Is My Strongest Subject Academically But I Am Very Strong On Economics / Finance As Aside From Having An A At A-Level Myself, I Have Worked In The Industry So Have Lots Of Knowledge And Examples To Back Up The Theory. I Am Also Comfortable With GCSE Physics And Have Studied Mathematical Physics (quantum Mechanics, Relativity & Electromagnetism).

I Have A Passion For Learning Myself And Am Good At Inspiring My Pupils. I Also Have A Great Way Of Explaining Concepts To People And Showing A Number Of Different Ways Of Looking At A Problem. I Am Happy To Teach A Topic From Scratch But Also Like To Access And Deep Dive Areas Of Weakness As Well As Look At Past Exam Papers.

I Am Also Very Strong On CAPM, VaR, Derivatives Pricing, Stochastic Calculus, Econometrics, Statistics Etc But Charge Extra Depending On How Advanced The Material Is And If It Is Help With Coursework / Dissertations. I Also Have Strong Quantitative Skills And Am Advanced In The Use Of Excel, VBA & Matlab And Have Access To Bloomberg.

I Am Based In East London And Charge £20 Per Hour For GCSE Level, £25 For A-Level. If I Have To Travel More Than A Reasonable Distance I May Ask For An Additional £5 Payment For My Time & Costs.

I Hope To Hear From You Soon!

Thanks, Tom.
