Garden Maintenance
I offer a full garden maintenance programme encompassing:
* Weeding
* Pruning
* Planting
* Watering
* Lawn Care
* Tubs & Hanging Baskets
* New Border Design
* General Advice
This can be for specific jobs or one off visits, occasional maintenance, or a regular weekly / bi-weekly / monthly service.

Fruit Tree Pruning
Fruit trees all have different requirements, according to species, root stock, shape, age etc. Pruning fruit trees is an important part of maintaining their health and keeping a balance between vegetative growth and fruit production. Proper and regular pruning can help improve the quality of the tree and its fruit.

There are a number of reasons for pruning a fruit tree:
* Preserving old trees
* Shaping young trees
* Managing the size and shape of the tree
* Letting in air
* Removing branches that are damaged
* Letting in light
* Stimulating new vegetative growth
* Pest and disease control
* Encouraging the development of new fruit-bearing wood
I was trained in pruning at the National Fruit Collection and East Malling Research Centre. Apples and Pears need to be pruned in their dormant period over winter, Nov – Feb, please book now.

Advice
You may wish a little advice on: where to start, how to set up, what to grow, how to grow it, where to source it, organic growing, how to amalgamate it into your current borders, composting, pests & diseases or you may have a specific problem you need addressing.

Design
I offer one on one design time, where I can design and tailor something specific to your needs. Alternatively, next year, I will be offering an 'off the peg' template design, which you can purchase and use yourself.

Set Up
A set up service is available on the tailored design and the 'off the peg' template. I am also happy to look at setting up something that you have designed yourself.

Maintenance
The maintenance service is offered on any of the above options and on your existing garden. This may be a one off visit to help get you on top of things again, to look after your valued harvest whilst away on holiday, a regular visit to help with maintenance, or I can do all the work in your garden for you, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of growing your own without the hard work.

Grow to Order
I will be growing vegetable, herb and cut flower plants to order. I can do this at a much lower cost and offer more varieties than the garden centres. These will be available seasonally.

Allotment/Garden Sitting
Who looks after your allotment/garden while you are away / ill / unable to attend to it? I can and would be happy to include houseplants, small pet animals and a small number of 'farm/smallholding' animals in this service.

Cut Flowers & Plants
Cut Flowers - Next year I hope to produce organically grown cottage garden flowers in hand tied bunches, to sell both to customers and at farmers markets. These could be just to treat yourself, to treat someone special, or for a special occasion. A consultation and growing service is available to grow flowers for your wedding.
Plants - I also hope, next year, to produce and sell: vegetable, herb, cut flower, bedding, hanging basket and perennial plants, plus seasonal bulbs in pots.

Wildlife Gardening
I can offer advice on bringing wildlife into your garden, their homes & habitats, plants to grow and food. This could be for bees, butterflies, birds, amphibians (frogs & toads), hedgehogs, bats and beneficial insects.

Advice & Design
Advice on any area of gardening is available, whether it is planting schemes, maintenance & care, composting, pests & diseases, fruit, vegetables, herbs, cut flowers, wildlife, etc. If I don't have an answer immediately I have the resources and contacts to get you an answer a.s.a.p.
I understand the basic concepts of design, have knowledge of a wide range of plants and have designed small borders, areas and gardens before. I am happy to consult with you and design new borders and areas specific to your requirements.

About Me
I grew up on a country smallholding in the heart of rural Lincolnshire, helping in the garden, polytunnel, orchard and field. This passion has continued throughout my life, even growing vine tomatoes over a window, peppers on windowsills and cucumbers in the corridor, when all I had was a 2nd floor flat. I now have my own garden which I have designed from scratch, including 44sq metres of organic raised vegetable beds. I am currently designing and planting a mini orchard and cut flower garden. I am so lucky to get up everyday for my passion. I am studying RHS Level 2 – Principles in Horticulture. I have old fashioned values and hope to be the helping hand you need.
