We have a double room available in our large house in Clapham Old Town. The room has the entire top floor to itself, with an ensuite bathroom with shower, plenty of storage, a skylight and windows with amazing views looking over Battersea towards the power station and onto Big Ben.

The house has 3 floors, with a large open-plan living/dining room with loads of light. We have TV/DVD and Sky+ and wifi internet. The kitchen was completely ripped out and re-fitted with new cupboards, surfaces, slate floors etc a few months ago. There is also a balcony for summer afternoons and a large garden.

The house is on a really lovely quiet residential street in the Old Town. The 87 bus stops just round the corner and goes to Trafalgar Sq, so great for getting the night bus home. Its a 5-8min walk to both Clapham Common and Clapham North tube stations.

The house is 2mins from Virgin Active and 5mins from Soho Gyms. Sainsburys, Sainsburys Local and Asda are all within 10mins, as are banks, post office, doctors etc.

The landlord lives in America and the house is handled by an agent who is great at sorting any problems etc and pretty much leaves us to our own devices so no hassle.

As for us, we are two really laid-back guys (26 and 35) who work in music/journalism. One of us is gay, and one is straight. We like to hang out but also do our own thing. We are really into music and pop culture. We keep things fairly tidy but nothing too anal.

This house would be ideal for someone fun, chilled out and non-mental.
