Are you fed up of working weekends? Then this could be your next move!. This leading travel company in South West London is looking for a Travel Manager to join their busy team. This is initially a years contract (maternity cover), Monday to Friday and is a fantastic opportunity to work with a very successful, expanding travel club. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the whole travel department, looking after a large team within a call centre environment.

Travel Manager Responsibilities:

- Monitor activity and performance and ensure appropriate action is taken to reach revenue and activity targets.
- Develop appropriate incentive schemes to increase staff productivity and target achievement in line with corporate performance management.
- Negotiate with travel providers to secure the best rates for products.
- Work with providers on new products that are offered so that commercial viability is rigorously scrutinised and implementation is effective.
- Ensure compliance with requirements of the Financial Services Authority in connection with the sale of travel insurance.
- Manage staff rotas and ensure department is effectively controlled on a daily basis.

Travel Manager Skills Required:
- Experience as a Manager from either a retail travel (call centre or face to face) or business travel agency.
- High customer service standards.
- Experience of working in a seat-sales environment in the UK to include knowledge of leading charter air seat suppliers and car rental companies.
- Knowledge of Viewdata and ideally Amadeus or another CRS.
- Ability to work under pressure.

Travel Manager Additional Information:
- This is initially a years maternity cover.
- Excellent salary on offer of circa GBP25,000.
- Monday to Friday 9.00-5.30.
