I don't know about you but I think that this is a debate that needs to be had. We have all experienced the excitement of new Sex, when a look or a touch can make you wet / hard in a second ! You turn wild with anticipation of what lies ahead. I personally find that it is not possible to maintain that degree of " mad sexual passion" after the first few month. After that sex changes in what I would call more" emotionally intimate",which can be the most wonderful & rewarding sex. This can actually happen at different times in the relationship. Some achive this sooner than others, some NEVER DO! This is when relationships get into trouble. Even with the emotionally intimate sex, after a while things change & familiarity can be a killer!
Now, what do you think ? how can we get the balance right? We can only reach certain levels of sexual openness & vulnerability within the safety of a secure relationship yet it is the nature of these longterm relationships that ritual unfulfilling sex can set in
