Senior Infrastructure Support Analyst

Due to our continued success and growth we are looking to recruit an additional person to join our Client Support team. Reporting to the ECS Manager / Team Leader you will be responsible for delivering a highly customer focussed service within a mission critical environment.
Role:
Providing support to client’s infrastructures and maintaining high availability through proactive measures
Resolving complex server issues escalated by other internal departments by administration and troubleshooting problems.
Ensuring clients & partners are updated on current status of issues
Implement operational procedures, tools and best practice as defined in corporate business plan
Ensure that knowledge is retained through documentation of processes and procedures and implementation of server changes.
Updating and maintaining our Knowledge base software.
Documenting troubleshooting carried out
Ensure all changes are documented through the change management process
Execute change management tasks in line with defined processes
Assist in the analysis and resolution of problems as raised by the problem management functions
Person:
Impeccable english language skills (written & verbal)
Preference given to those eligible for ancestral visa's, other Visa status's considered, dependent on eligibility, and experience.
Demonstrable complex 3rd line troubleshooting and problem management experience
Demonstrable troubleshooting experience within a high availability, mission critical, customer focussed web-centric environment.
Excellent high level Microsoft 2000/3 enterprise server Active Directory troubleshooting skills required.
Good understanding of web site/enterprise infrastructure technology (clustering, load balancing), with strong IIS skills.
Demonstrable experience of VMware ESX.
Experience of Cisco networking and/or security products
MCSE2000/3 and CCNA qualifications preferred.
Strong knowledge of the Internet, routing & security is required.
Demonstrable SQL troubleshooting skills desirable.
A Bachelor’s Degree in a computing-related discipline is preferred or equivalent work experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge/experience of ITIL standards desirable
