We are a highly regarded GP practice in St Johns Wood, close to Lords cricket ground. We have 6,300 patients and are patient centred with high standards of care. Our staff are friendly, hard-working and work well as a team. We are fully computerised, well organised and high achievers.

We are looking for a part-time practice nurse with a broad range of practice nurse experience and skills. Tasks include:

•Travel advice and vaccinations.
•ECG and BP monitoring.
•Phlebotomy.
•Clinical emergencies – anaphylaxis, resuscitation, collapse, convulsions, trauma.
•Clinical care – minor injuries, wound management, ulcer care, assist with minor surgery and coil fittings.
•Chronic disease management – particularly coronary heart disease, diabetes, asthma, hypertension.
•Treatment room administration including repeat prescriptions, Prescription Pricing Authority returns and developing protocols and standards.
•Patient enquiries including test results.
•Ordering of medical consumables and vaccines; monitoring and servicing of treatment room equipment.
•Health promotion – healthchecks, smoking, dietary advice.
•Women’s Health – family planning, cervical screening.
•Clinical Audit.
•Attendance at Practice, Clinical and Care Team meetings; also Nurse meetings arranged by Westminster PCT and Central London Healthcare.
•Child Immunisations.

Evidence of post registration practice nurse experience
