Our beautiful Volkswagen Caravelle GL with her new Camper Van conversion, professionally fitted last year, is fully equipped and ready to go.

She looks great in metallic Turquoise with her lowered suspension. The five cylinder 2.4 diesel; a powerful engine (replaced only 79k miles ago) has had a new water pump, cam belt, fuel pump belt, and power steering belt fitted 7k ago. New glow plugs 2k ago. Starts first time, every time. New gear linkage bushes (common T4 problem) now give nice, positive changes. With an M registration, she's still going strong, and using no oil. [Extensive service history is available].

Captain's chairs up front. New seat covers. Electric windows. Five tinted rear windows (two opening). Remote central locking, and 2-way-radio alarm/immobiliser security. Radio/cassette, plus uprated sound system; woofers in the rear.

The new loads-of-space full conversion comprises: Full height wardrobe, Work-top Unit with cupboards, and a very comfy extending Double Bed Unit (with storage under). These, teak-finished units incorporate a 3-way gas/electric fridge, Smev glass-covered s/steel sink with tap (water from under-floor 43 litre tank via auto electric pump), matching Smev 2-ring gas hob, and a 240 volt hook-up with control unit giving split charging for both leisure and main batteries. THE FULL MONTY.

Limo-tint privacy glass in the rear and all round curtains keep the van nice and cool in the Summer, and rebuff rubber-neckers. Two sliding windows in the back. Multi-position table. Oh! And the Super-Sized Sounds are complemented with Disco Lighting.

The Caravelle drives just like a car; she's an ideal high-speed motorway cruiser. She's just returned from a 1,817-mile ski trip to the Swiss Alps, giving 35.46mpg for the long, fast part of the trip.(95mph plus on autobahn) The deal for this fine Road-Runner includes a genuine Swiss Motorway pass, valid till the end of the Year ... diesel is cheap in Switzerland .... so, why don't you take in Mont Blanc and the Alps as part of your European Tour?
