We are putting together a function/covers band and seeking a bass player to complete a 4piece line-up.

Existing band is Guitar, Vocals and Drums. Exisiting band members are aged 25 to 28.

An experienced bassist with a sense of humour and a funky style and good backing vocals would be the ideal candidate to complete this band.

For future expansion of the band we have additional musicians available - including a DJ, a horn section, extra vocalists and a percussionist (although the core band will be 4-piece - these additional members are for bigger gigs).

This cash-earning band will be performing a blend of funky soul covers (and some original material to be added later if appropriate). Examples of repertoire include Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder etc with a modernised edge. You will need to be a creative bass player with an ability to adapt songs and contribute to developing our unique arrangements of the repertoire.

You should be willing and able to rehearse once or twice per week in the early days. We will be rehearsing in South London - either in Elephant&Castle or Deptford where we have deals with rehearsal studios. At the moment, rehearsals are on Wednesday afternoons or evenings - please let us know which days and times you are most available for rehearsals when you email.

We have numerous Agency contacts so breaking into the club / wedding / corporate function / hotel circuit should be no problem.
