My client is looking for an experienced substance misuse worker to work within their shared care service within Blackpool.

As an experienced substance misuse worker you will largely be responsible for a case load of clients with substance misuse issues. Your job will be to key work closely with the client in order to reduce their dependency on various substances. Working in a GP shared care environment means you will be liaising closely with general practitioners and making recommendation on the dosage and type of substitute medication. Due to the seriousness of responsibilities involved experience within a similar role is essential.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in key working and managing subscribing to clients with substance misuse issues. You must be competent in giving harm reduction advice, managing your own case load of clients, conducting assessments and reviews of care planning. Candidates from a CARAT background would also be suitable for this position as long as candidates can demonstrate experience managing prescribing services.

This work will suit an individual that gets satisfaction of working closely with individuals to improve their quality of life. The role is a temporary role, the duration of which is yet to be confirmed. The position offers a rewarding and competitive salary which is in line with the going market rate. Candidates must also have a current enhanced CRB which was issued within the last 12 months.
