Full-time nanny in Earlsfield Wimbledon Park for two children

We are looking for a full-time nanny in Earlsfield/Wimbledon Park to look after our two children. Our preferred start date is the beginning of January when our daughter will be almost four and our son will be 18 months, but a later start date may be possible. The role will be permanent, and we are looking for a candidate who can remain with us for some time. Our ethos for the children is for them to live and learn in a fun and safe environment, while developing good manners and discipline, eating healthily and getting plenty of exercise.

The role will include the following:

* driving our daughter to and from nursery (half a day) four or five days a week and, from September, walking her to and from school;
* entertainment and education for the children in the home;
* encouraging and promoting good behaviour, manners and discipline;
* ensuring the children get adequate exercise and outdoor activities;
* cooking healthy meals for the children;
* taking the children on short excursions (to the playground or to activity groups);
* driving the children to regular weekly activities (ballet, swimming etc);
* laundry and keeping toys, etc. tidy;
* maintaining a routine including meal times, play times and sleep.

The following requirements are essential (please do not apply if you do not have them):

* previous experience as a nanny (minimum three years);
* current driving licence;
* excellent English language skills;
* checkable references;
* recent CRB check;
* qualified in, or willing to obtain qualification in, first aid for children;
* good organisational skills;
* good interpersonal skills and willingness to follow guidance from us;
* good understanding of age appropriate activities for learning and play;
* ability to impose discipline when needed and draw clear boundaries for behaviour, without undermining the children’s confidence;
* enthusiasm for the role and a sunny disposition.

OFSTED registration is not essential but is highly desirable.

Hours are 8.30am to 6.30pm, five days a week. Occasional baby-sitting is available if wanted.
