I have recently upgraded my bose dock with a portable one and am looking to sell my old one. Its a year old and works well. It makes a very low pitched noise (barely noticeable) if you leave your ipod on it without sound playing but other than that works perfectly well. I only upgraded because I am moving somewhere with sporadic electricity supply and needed one with a battery otherwise I would have kept it as the sound quality is still great! They currently retail at about £160 for a new one.
