This primary school in the London Borough of Greenwich are seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified teacher for one of their year 2 classes. The class is supported with a TA in the class for half a day and other support offered throughout the day.

The post is due to commence in January 2009 and will continue until the end of the academic year. The vacancy will then be advertised for on a permanent basis and the current teacher at the time would be asked to apply.

This is an inner city primary school of above average size which opened its doors five years ago when it was re-sited as part of the Greenwich peninsula rejuvenation project. The school is well led and managed and the leadership team has a clear view of what its priorities are. The children’s behaviour is exemplary and attitudes to learning are exceptional. The school has a special designated provision for six children on the autistic spectrum.
