Young people’s charity seeks brilliant communicator

Regional Communications Representative, 2 days a week, £16,536 - £18,430 (depending on experience) pro rata. Working from home.

Get Connected is a national young people’s helpline looking for a local representative in Leicester. This job is about promoting our unique helpline to the young people who might need it and to the adults working with them. You’ve got to be thoroughly confident in communicating with people of all ages and backgrounds, and you’ll need to know Leicester like Carol Vorderman knows maths.

This new role will raise awareness of Get Connected’s helpline amongst young people, teachers, Social Workers and other young people’s professionals through meetings, presentations and lots of local PR. It will also inform Get Connected about the issues facing young people in Leicester, and monitor the effectiveness of national marketing activity.

It’s a part time role, with two days’ work that you can spread through the week flexibly. You’ll need access to a computer and the Internet, and be available by phone on the days you’re working. We’ll reimburse costs such as travel, phone calls and stationery. You’ll be visiting Get Connected’s head office in London once a month, with expenses covered by Get Connected.
