I'm a guitarist/vocalist putting together a band called MONSTER ISLAND. Let me know if you wanna be part of it.

Looking for a bass player, drummer, guitarist, synth player.....will also consider anyone else who's interested. Let me know what you can do.

The songs I'm writing currently vary from having a dark city noir, creepy surf road music soundtrack type feel to fast jerky pop songs to fuzzed out stoner rock. I want all the songs to the short, immediate and suprising with big melodies mixed with alt guitar noise and huge riffs.

Influenced by bands like 80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster, 70s Iggy Pop and David Bowie, Queens of the Stone Age, Icarus Line, Tomahawk, Mr Bungle, Mudhoney, the Futureheads, early Cribs, Death from Above 1979, Tom Waits, Suede, the Smiths, Pixies, Girls against Boys.....

Hope this gives you an idea of the sound I'm going for. Hopefully we'll all be able to write songs together as well as separately and everyone can help edit other peoples songs in rehearsal.

I'm busy writing ideas for songs for MONSTER ISLAND and hope to have a couple of rough demos done in the next week or so.
