A unique opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Children and Families Social Worker in South East London.
This is your chance to turn the work of Social Services around and be at the start of something innovative.
Duties:
1To act as allocated social worker for statutory casework for appropriate cases and to mange a caseload accordingly.
2To contribute, through participation in Team meetings and district/departmental initiatives to the overall development of Social work services within the District.
3To participate fully in regular supervision.
4To ensure that recording on case files is up-to-date and accurate at all times.
5To ensure that all financial transactions are fully written up and accounted for.
6To foster links with and work in co-operation with statutory and voluntary agencies, other Council departments, Social Services staff and other agencies as appropriate.
7To attend case conferences and represent the department at formal meetings, courts etc.
8To participate in and contribute to district and departmental working parties if required.
9To attend appropriate training as required by the Team Manager
10To keep abreast of child care legislation, and departmental policies and procedures and to apply them to the work carried out.
11To work at all times with regard to equal opportunities both in relation to clients and to fellow workers.
Pay rate is negotiable
