My client a legal practice based in central London are looking for an interim Head of Costs to cover extended sickness leave.
Key responsibilities will include all costing and billing of civil public funded matters including:
* Coordinating settlement and payment negotiations in matters with interprets costs
* Coordinating settlement and payment negotiations in CFA cases
* Monitoring of costs limited and advising fee earners of need for extension
* Drafting bills/claims in civil public matters subject to new fixed or graduated fee arrangements
* Instructing and liaising with costs draftsmen
* Reviewing BACS remittances from the LSC
* Submission of legal help and exceptional payment claims to the LSC
