We’re looking for an additional guitarist to join a newly formed pop/punk/rock group based in London. Although this band has been put together very recently, we already have a full set of originals drawn from the previous line-up’s back catalogue. In essence, following a few issues with the previous members (although amicably resolved), the band’s lead vocalist wanted to get a new set of musicians together, initially to play and perform the existing material prior to moving on to writing and producing new material. As such, we’re keen to get things going as quickly as possible (gigging, writing etc). An example of the current material can be found at http://www.myspace.com/50ftwoman which should give you a fair idea of the sort of sound we’re looking for. We have all played in various bands before and so would ideally be looking for someone with solid gigging experience, who could seriously contribute to what is going to be a fantastic new band. We also need someone who can pick up the current tracks quickly and has the time to seriously rehearse. Oh, I almost forgot; having said all of the above, we’re all quite laid back (no manic musical purists) and so I guess we’d need someone that we could all get along with!
