Ladies and Gents, appreciative followers of conceptual oddness, and persons of dubious reality:

After some more conventional posting and responding on Gumtree, and more positive than negative results, I figured I'd dip a toe in the murky waters of shared enjoyment of leftfield skiffyness.

And I'm damn glad I did.

So, got a nice little gang together who enjoy the same sort of thing: Comics, movies (with a leaning to sci-fi, Donnie Darko and Withnail style wierdness, Kung Fu!), TV (Buffy, Spaced - the latter might evoke some youthful memories), books and general unusualness, the rum and uncanny; but also BEER (or your alternative choice of intoxicant).

Beer is not the be all and end all, but I like it. I like it in multiple pints, and in good, sociable and stimulating company.

Only thing I ask is that you send a short reply when the invites come round (yes, no, or maybe is fine - people, this bit's important: if you don't feel able to click Reply, type 'No', and click Send, then please don't join this thang).

Good male / female mix, generally 20 / 30 somethings (me, early 30's), but all welcome so long as you like a beer and a laugh.
