Learning Support Assistant
A large special school requires a Learning Support Assistant.
The school aims to provide high quality education for pupils between the ages of 3 and 16 years with a wide range of learning disabilities - moderate, complex, severe, profound/multiple learning difficulties and pupils with autistic spectrum disorders.
The school has state of the art equipment, including an indoor pool, a physiotherapy room and a "soft play" room. The school has 164 pupils on the roll and has been established for a number of years.
You will be supporting a young person in Year 7 with complex and severe learning difficulties. The student is wheelchair bound and therefore experience of hoisting and lifting is a must!
Please note the following requirements prior to applying for this position:
* You must have good spoken English;
* You must have a minimum of 6 months child related experience;
* Your CV must cover the last 5 years employment history and any employment breaks must be explained;
* You need to supply two recent references of which one must be from a school setting;
* This position is subject to an Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
