Sous Chef, £24-25K Overtime, Hotel South West London
SOUS CHEF, £24-25K + OVERTIME, HOTEL - SOUTH WEST LONDON. We are looking for an experienced sous chef to assist in the running of a fantastic hotel restaurant that offers modern French and European cuisine in a small, newly refurbished environment. The hotel also has a bar that serves typical British food and often caters for weddings so has banquets and canapé receptions.
As sous chef you will be reporting to a group head chef so will often be running the restaurant and special events on your own in a brigade of 5. You will be responsible for overseeing the more junior chefs, ensuring food is delivered to the high standards required, stock management, ordering and ensuring all relevant health and safety / food safety standards are adhered to.
The ideal candidate will have experience at a sous chef or head chef level ideally in a restaurant that serves French and Mediterranean food. Experience within banqueting is also an advantage and you must have excellent managerial skills with the ability to take charge and lead a team.
The salary on offer is £24,000 - £25,000 per annum depending on experience based on 5/7 days a week (9 hour days). There are no split shifts and overtime is paid on top of basic salary.
