uSwitch.com is a leading price comparison and switching website and, as such, is recognised as one of the top 25 online brands in the UK. We employ around 100 people in our modern, open plan offices in Victoria, central London.

-A bright, numerate recent Graduate who is struggling to find a Graduate role in this tough economic climate?
-Keen to work in a dynamic, fast moving, online environment?
-Looking for a job which will help you develop the skills and knowledge to move into a Graduate role?
-Looking for a role with good earning potential without having to do a bleak telesales role?

In the current economic climate, we appreciate that many talented Graduates are struggling to find valuable employment offering development and potential career progression. Around 15% of uSwitch’s employees have graduated within the last 2 years and Graduates are integral in taking our business forward.

Although uSwitch is primarily an online transaction tool, we also have a customer service centre of around 16 people. These guys are the direct link to our customers, talking them through any concerns or queries they may have, resolving any problems and ultimately hopefully completing a sale (a switch).

Therefore, what we are looking to do is source a couple of strong Graduates to come and work in this team and learn about the business from the foundations up, and as and when Graduate roles arise, be in prime position to not only apply for and fill these vacancies, but also to excel as they will have a real understanding of the company.

In the past year we have had guys from this team move out into the following roles:-
-Business Analyst (this is perhaps the most likely role to transition to)
-Marketing Analyst
-Tester Developer
-Working in a project team tasked with setting up a new Product (Business Energy)
As well as progression within the Customer Service area to Team Leader.
What you would get out of it:
-Knowledge of the business, which will put you in a strong position to apply for Grad roles as and when they apply
-Opportunity to get to work closely with other areas of the business
-As much training, support and opportunities as you push for
-An opportunity to enhance your communication and sales skills
-Decent earning potential. Including commission, most of the team earned between £23-£25k in the last financial year


Key skills required
• A 2:1 degree or better-preferably in a Business related or numerate degree
• Strong communication skills
• Analytical skills
• A demonstrable interest in the online environment
• Self motivation and drive to thrive in the tough graduate market
