FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - Based in Aldermaston (Reading, Berkshire)

A private equity backed company, my client offers bespoke installation, full warranty and contract maintenance services of audio visual equipment for a variety of clients. With recent successes in clinching new business and more in the pipeline, growth prospects for this business look promising.

Candidate Profile:
• Full or part qualified, or qualified by experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience with some gained in SME’s
• Demonstrate experience of financial planning & analysis, reporting, statutory filings
• Experience of Sage accounts (including payroll) and proficient in MS-Excel
• Ability to build and maintain relationships internally to support management and externally with auditors, banks, private equity team, customers, suppliers, etc
• Hands on, commercially focused, entrepreneurial spirit
• Must live within comfortable distance of Aldermaston (Reading, Newbury, Basingstoke etc)

Job Profile:
• Reporting to CEO with dotted line responsibility to the operating board
• Full ownership of finance and accounting processes with one direct report
• Sage accounting and payroll
• Financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and commentaries, KPIs, statutory returns, etc to deadlines
• Administration of HR, assets, fleet and insurances
• Considerable scope for involvement in the commercial side of the business
• Implement and integrate new timesheet / job costing system

An Interim FC is in place to cover for a recent leaver and the client is looking to find a permanent replacement to start as soon as possible. The Interim FC will be available initially to provide training and familiarisation with the role.
